Larry David Marshall

TREZEVANT: Services for Larry David Marshall, 57, were at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday,
April 19, at First Baptist Church with Bro. Malcolm Norton officiating.
Interment followed in Trezevant Cemetery.
Mr. Marshall, a production worker for Bassell in Jackson, died Saturday, April
16, at McKenzie Regional Hospital.
He was born November 19, 1947, in McKenzie and was a member of the First Baptist
Church in Trezevant.
Survivors include his mother, Brooxie Tate Marshall of Trezevant; a daughter,
Lori Marshall of Trezevant; a stepson, Chris (DeAnna) Mann of Huntingdon; a
brother, Jeff (Dana) Marshall of Atwood; six sisters: Betty (Frank) Price of
Camden, Carolyn (Jim) Parish and Tammy (Gary) Winston, both of McKenzie, Shirley
(Bill) Connell of Bradford, Ouida (John) Klock of Elizabethton and Kay (Dennis)
Reed of Olive Branch, Mississippi; a special friend, Pricilla Camper; and three
grandchildren, Sammie Lusk, Dustin Mann, and Kelsey Mann.
Alma R. Dickson
1924-2005
MCKENZIE: Services for Alma R. Dickson, 80, were at 2:00 p.m., Thursday,
April 14, at Brummitt Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Beal officiating. Interment
followed in Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Dickson, a homemaker, died Wednesday, April 13, at McKenzie Regional
Hospital.
She was born April 26, 1924, in Trezevant to the late Clint A. Singleton and
Martha “Mattie” Ervin Singleton.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas E. Dickson of McKenzie; six sons: Gene
(Donna) Gaston of Gilbertsville, Kentucky, Gary (Jerri) Gaston of Warner
Robbins, Georgia, Hank (Doris) Dickson of McKenzie, James (Sue) Dickson of
Henry, Gordon (Anita) Dickson of Greenfield, and Robert (Amy) Dickson of Union
City; one half-brother, Harold Blaylock of McKenzie; 10 grandchildren: Kim
(Daniel) Cary, Ryan (Becky) Dickson, Bryce Gaston, Jr., Jeannie (Bill) Sydnor,
Dwayne (Amy) Gaston, Eddie Dickson, Brandi Dickson, J.R. (Amanda) Dickson, Lisa
(Joey) Work, Steven Dickson; and 14 great-grandchildren: Raegan, Gage, Matt,
Sean, Tyler, Chloe, Christopher, Cory, Caleb, Cheyenne, Grace, Jon Austin, Tori
and Blake. She was preceded in death by one grandchild, Robin Dickson.
Madgelyne Todd Dailey
1927-2005
HUNTINGDON: Services for Madgelyne Todd Dailey, 77, were held Wednesday,
April 13, at 2:00 p.m. at Dilday Funeral Home with Brother Wayne Holmes
officiating. Interment followed in Jamison Cemetery.
Mrs. Dailey died Monday, April 11.
She was born in Wildersville on April 19, 1927, to the late Roby Birch Todd and
Celm Todd. She was one of eleven children. She was preceded in death by her
husband, William Preston Dailey of Linden, to whom she was married in November
1944 in Corinth, Mississippi. They moved to Dayton, Ohio, where Preston worked
for General Motors and Madge worked for Sunshine Biscuit until their retirement
in 1976.
They returned to Huntingdon where Madge worked in the Huntingdon Middle School
cafeteria. She attended the New Hope Baptist Church in Yuma.
Survivors include two children: Barbara (Paul) Moore of Huntingdon and Karman
(Kevin) Wilkes of Chattanooga; three grandchildren: Melissa (Jace) Sides of
Huntingdon and Kacie and Konner Wilkes, both of Chattanooga; one step grandson,
Paul Wayne Moore of Parsons; one brother, Edd Todd of Clarksburg; a sister, Nell

Faye Anderson Vines
1931-2005
HUNTINGDON: Services for Faye Anderson Vines, 73, were conducted at 2:00
p.m., Tuesday, April 12, in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Paul
Mulliken officiating. Interment followed in Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Vines died Sunday, April 10, at her home.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Serl Anderson, and was a member
of the Huntingdon First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Vines of Huntingdon; one daughter, Jan
Foster of Louisville, Kentucky; three sons: Max Anderson of Cedar Grove, Don
Anderson of Nashville and Jerry Anderson of Winchester; one brother, Roy E.
Hopper of Huntingdon; and four grandchildren.
Ford Bonds
1926-2005
BRUCETON: Services for Ford Bonds, 79, were at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April
16, at Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Melton officiating.
Masonic rites were held Friday. Burial was in Prospect Cemetery in Hollow Rock.
Military honors were held at the graveside.
Mr. Bonds, a retired master sergeant with the United States Air Force, died
Wednesday, April 1, at Veterans Hospital in Nashville.
He was born February 6, 1926, in Bemis to the late Willie Garrett Bonds and Lela
Mae Presson Bonds. He was a member of the Bruceton First United Methodist
Church, a member and past master of Bruceton Masonic Lodge #731, a member and
past worthy patron of Bruceton Order of Eastern Star Odah Chapter #314, a member
of the Memphis Scottish Rite, past president of the Carroll County Scottish Rite
Club, York Rite, Chapter, Council and Commandry, Al Chymia Shrine and past grand
commander of the Knights Templar of Tennessee.
Survivors include two daughters: Barbara Ruth Duke of Bruceton and Faye Cole of
Oroville, Washington; a son, Richard Bonds of Terre Haute Indiana; four sisters:
Opal Hedge of Hollow Rock, Betty Welsh of Granite City, Florida, Sally Fowler of
Maryville, Illinois, and Kay Nicks of Dickson; three brothers: Wayne Bonds of
Madison, Tommy Bonds of Camden, and James Bonds of Camden; six grandchildren;
and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth F. Bonds.
Joan Eloise Bolen
1935-2005
HUNTINGDON: Services for Joan Eloise Bolen, 70, were conducted Friday, April
15, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dale Waugh
officiating.
Mrs. Bolen died at the Good Samaritan Health & Rehabilitation Center in Antioch.
She was born March 12, 1935, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late John and Amy
Dickens Browne. She was a retired substitute teacher for Carroll County schools.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Mutt” Bolen; a sister, Nancy
Marie Browne; and one grandson, Jeremy Ellis.
Survivors include two daughters: Amy Sambat of Huntingdon and Jennifer Oakley of
Hornlake, Mississippi; four sons: Jeff Bolen of Antioch, Rusty Bolen of Yuma,
Billy Bolen of Huntingdon and Larry Bolen of Parkers Crossroads; one sister, Pat
Reiter of Ohio; two brothers: John Browne of Florida and Victor Saunders of New
Jersey; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Stephanie Annette Henry
1987-2005
BRUCETON: Services for Stephanie Annette Henry, 17, were held Sunday, April
17, at 4:00 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church with Bro. Gary Greer officiating.
Interment followed in the New Prospect Cemetery in Hollow Rock.
Stephanie died April 14 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville from injuries
sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born November 26, 1987, in McKenzie, to Phyllis Berry Forrest of
Bruceton and Johnny Lee Henry of Savannah.
Survivors include two step-sisters: Janet Hollingsworth of Hollow Rock and Cindy
Wallace of McKenzie; a brother, Christopher Lee Henry of Big Sandy; and one
grandmother, Jeannette Cook of Big Sandy.
Oakdale Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Isa Belle Jones
1915-2005
HUNTINGDON: Services for Isa Bell Jones, 89, were conducted Monday, April
18, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor W.C. Moore
officiating. Interment followed in the Humbles Cemetery.
Mrs. Jones died Thursday, April 14, at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
She was born July 2, 1915, in Carroll County, to the late John A. and Mattie
Strayhorn Moore, Jr. She was a member of Howard Chapel A.M.F. Church where she
was the church musician until her health failed. She was also the musician for
other area churches during that time. She was a wonderful cook and worked at
most of the restaurants in Huntingdon.
Survivors include her husband, James Buster Jones, one stepdaughter, Jacqulin
Brown; nine nieces; and eight nephews.
Bettie Lois Turpen
1911-2005
HUNTINGDON: Graveside services for Bettie Lois Turpen, 93, were conducted
Saturday, April 16, at 11:00 a.m. at the New Hope Cemetery in Yuma with Bro.
Russell Carlock officiating.
Mrs. Turpen died Thursday, April 14, at the Life Care Center in Bruceton.
She was born August 15, 1911, in Carroll County to the late Claude and Rose
Morgan Blount. She was a retired waitress for the Peabody Hotel in Memphis. She
was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Turpen; two sisters: Beulah Carey
and Lela Birdwell; and two brothers: Johnny Blount and Mack Blount.
Survivors include one son, Harold Turpen of Bruceton, and several nieces and
nephews.
James Harlon Wall
1925-2005
YUMA: Services for James Harlon Wall, 79, were conducted Sunday, April 17,
at 2:30 p.m. at the Clarksburg Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Phillip
Halters and Bro. Andrew Stokes officiating. Interment followed in the Clarksburg
Cemetery.
Mr. Wall died Friday, April 15, at his home.
He was born September 1, 1925, in Carroll County, to the late Henry and Valcour
Burton Wall. He was a member of the Clarksburg Missionary Baptist Church. He was
a retired production worker of the Milan Arsenal and served as a member of the
United States Navy during World War II. He was preceded in death by his first
wife, Helen Scott Wall, and one brother, Burton Wall.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine Wall, with whom he was married on April
20, 1990; one daughter, Brenda (Steve) Laws of Yuma; two stepdaughters: Bonnie
(Mike) Curran of Atwood and Brenda (Randy) Rimmer of Trezevant; two stepsons:
Mike (Camill) Hudgins of Ohio and Terry (Sandra) Hudgins of McLemoresville; two
sisters: Martha Ross and Evonne (James) Tate, both of Wildersville; one brother,
Melvin (Joyce) Wall of Covington; one granddaughter, Ashley Laws; five
step-granddaughters: Hollie Bell, April Hudgins, Brandy Riendl, Kelly Hudgins,
and Cheyenne Hudgins; four step-grandsons: Charlie Barger, Wayne Barber, Scott
Rimmer and Brandon Rimmer; and six step-great-grandchildren.

Catherine A. Taylor
1926-2005
CECIL, PENNSYLVANIA: Funeral services for Catherine A. Taylor, 68, formerly
of McKenzie, were held Sunday, April 17, at 2:00 p.m. in the Cedar Avenue Chapel
of McKenzie Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Moore officiating. Interment followed
in the Shiloh Cemetery near McKenzie. McKenzie Funeral Home was in charge of the
arrangements.
Mrs. Taylor, a homemaker and widow of Rev. James A. Taylor, died Tuesday, April
12, at her daughter’s residence in Cecil.
She was born August 24, 1926, in Roanoke, Virginia, to the late Herbert L.
Brazeal and Nellie Irene Cooper Brazeal.
Survivors include two daughters: Vicki Hitson Martire of Cecil, Pennsylvania,
and Cynthia Reinhardt of Spring Lake, Michigan; one son, James Taylor of St.
Joseph, Michigan; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.Cloyas

MCKENZIE: Services for Cloyas Webb, 66, will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday,
April 21, at McKenzie Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Pence and Rev. Steve
Douglas officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Visitation is 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, and 9:00 a.m. until service time on
Thursday.
Mr. Webb, retired from BellSouth, died early Tuesday morning, April 19, at
Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon following an accident.
He was born March 24, 1939, and was a member of Blooming Grove Methodist Church
and a Mason. His father, Woodrow Webb, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Lemonds Webb; his mother, Clara Webb of Gleason;
three sons: Tracy Webb and Blake Webb, both of McKenzie, and Steve Webb of Olive
Branch, Mississippi; two sisters: Nancy Smith of Paris and Ferrlin Cassidy of
Gleason; one brother, Joe Webb of Gleason; and six grandchildren.
