SYLVIA ANN CLARK ELLIS
1945-2006
MCKENZIE: Sylvia Ann Clark Ellis, 60, died Saturday,
April 15, at McKenzie Regional Hospital. Services were
held Tuesday, April 18, at Brummitt Funeral Home with
Bro. Marty Comer and Bro. Lane Scott officiating.
Interment followed at Everett's Chapel Cemetery in
McKenzie.
Mrs. Ellis was born August 20, 1945, in McKenzie, to the
late W.C and Ethel Elinor Harris Clark. She was a
retired cook and a member of Concord Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Ellis.
Survivors include three daughters, Melissa Ellis and
Charlotte Perry of Lexington, and Teresa (Ricky) Beadles
of McKenzie; two sons, Lee (Peggy) Ellis of Huntingdon
and Marty (Rachel) Ellis of Medina; one brother, Ricky
(Teresa) Clark of McKenzie; and 11 grandchildren: Chase
Jordan, Tyler La Pointe, Cory Ellis, Brittany Ellis,
Blake Ellis, Laura Perry, Brandon Perry, Layne Ellis,
Dawson Ellis, Kevin Walker, and Amanda Walker.
ANITA HUFFMAN
1914-2006
PADUCAH: Anita Huffman, 92, formerly of McKenzie,
died Friday, April 14, at Western Baptist Hospital in
Paducah. Graveside services will be Tuesday, April 18,
at 3:00 p.m. in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Brummitt Funeral
Home is in charge of arrangements. Rev. Dennis Trull
will officiate the service.
Mrs. Huffman born February 20, 1914, in Memphis, to
William Emmett Newport and Ida Lee Richards Newport,
both deceased.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie
Huffman. There are no listed survivors.
PAULINE HARRISON BIRDWELL
1927-2006
MCKENZIE: Pauline Harrison Birdwell, 78, died
Saturday, April 15, at Oak Manor Nursing Home. Funeral
services were conducted Sunday, April 16, in the chapel
of Dilday Funeral Home. Interment followed in Seminary
Cemetery. Brother Joe Abbott officiated the services.
Mrs. Birdwell was born September 12, 1927, to the late
Roosevelt and Clara Clark Harrison. She attended Mt.
Comfort Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Priestly
Birdwell; one sister, Helen Forrest; and one brother,
Calvin Harrison.
She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Jordan of
McKenzie; four sons, James Birdwell of McKenzie; Charles
Birdwell of Greenfield; Bobby Dale Birdwell of McKenzie;
and Kenny Joe Birdwell of McKenzie; fifteen
grandchildren; and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
LOU MANN
1914-2006
HOLLOW ROCK: Lou Mann, 91, died Monday, April 17, at
her residence. Services will be held Wednesday, April
19, at 2 p.m. at Mixie Missionary Baptist Church, with
Bro. Tony Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel
Hill Methodist Cemetery in Huntingdon.
Mrs. Mann was born May 17, 1914, in Lexington, to the
late Henry Jasper Tate and Maggie Mae McKee Tate. She
was married November 17, 1933 to the late Aaron
Jefferson Mann, who died December 31, 1976. She was a
member of Mixie Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Ruth
Wilson, and two brothers, Robert Tate and Thomas Tate.
Survivors include one son: John (Ruth) Mann of Hollow
Rock; one daughter, Mildred (Billy) Barker of McKenzie;
three brothers, Henry J. Tate of Lansing, Michigan,
James B. Tate of Granbury, Texas, and Calvin Tate of
Grayling, Michigan; one sister, Brooksie Marshall of
Trezevant; five grandchildren: Timothy Barker, Terry
Wilson, Pam Evans, Jennifer Mann, and Melissa Mann
Moody; and eight great-grandchildren: Aaron Barker,
Andrew Barker, Nicholas Wilson, Madison Wilson, Alyssa
Wilson, Aaron Evan, Patrick Evans, and Chester Evans.
Ridgeway Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
JOSEPH DANIAL WOLLICK
1943-2006
CAMDEN: Joseph Danial Wollick, 63, died Friday,
April 14, at Camden General Hospital. Graveside services
were Saturday, April 15, at Sandy Point Baptist Church
Cemetery. Rev. Jerry Hollingsworth officiated the
service.
Mr. Wollick, a Vietnam veteran, was born February 10,
1943, in Camden, New Jersey, to the late Walter Paul
Wollick and Anna Katherine Mastel Wollick.
He is survived by one son, Joey Wollick; two sisters,
Elizabeth Mazzoli and Barbara Erzin; six brothers:
Walter (Irene) Wollick, Frederick Wollick, Charles
(Lorraine) Wollick, Edward Wollick, Danny Wollick, and
John Wollick; and very special friends Elvis and Linda
Williams.
BRANDON THOMAS SNYDER
1988-2006
HUNTINGDON: Brandon Thomas Snyder, 18, died Tuesday,
April 11. Funeral services were conducted Thursday,
April 13, in the Huntingdon High School Gymnasium with
Brother Rick Crossno and Brother Terry Dickey
officiating. Interment followed in Carroll Memorial
Gardens. Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements.
Mr. Snyder was born January 5, 1988, in Columbia, South
Carolina. He was a Huntingdon High School senior and a
member of the Honor Society. Brandon received several
awards as a Huntingdon Mustang football player: the Top
Linebacker on Defense, Leading Tackler, Special Teams
MVP, All Region 6-2A and the All-West State.
He is survived by his parents, Jeff and Jamie Davis and
a brother, Christopher Snyder, all of Huntingdon, and
his grandparents: Patsy Jessee of Huntingdon and Cathy
Snyder and Maureen Doty, both of Florida. |
