ANDREA (ANN) BEASLEY
1949-2007
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS: Andrea (Ann) Beasley, 56,
formerly of Gleason, died Monday, February 5, after
battling cancer for over 3 1/2 years. A memorial service
was held Thursday, February 8, at 10 a.m. at the Summit
Church in North Little Rock, Arkansas with Bill Elliff
officiating.
Mrs. Beasley was born September 24, 1949 in McKenzie to
Thomas Edward and Mary Frances Farmer Allmon. She was a
member of the Summit Church. She was preceded in death
by her husband, William Franklin Beasley.
Survivors include: her parents; one son, Bill Beasley of
Jacksonville, Arkansas; one daughter, Amy (Kelly) Powers
of Sherwood, Arkansas; and two grandchildren.
Griffin Leggett Rest Hills in North Little Rock,
Arkansas was in charge of arrangements.
TODD CARTER FLEMING
1962-2007
JACKSON: Todd Carter Fleming, 44, formerly of
Huntingdon, died Tuesday, February 6 at the
Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral
services were Friday, February 9 at 2:00 p.m. in the
Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Dr. Stephen Atwood
officiating. Burial followed in Carroll Memorial
Gardens.
Mr. Fleming was born May 28, 1962 in Memphis. He was a
1980 graduate of Huntingdon High School. Following
graduation, he entered the U. S. Army at Fort Knox,
Kentucky and served in the National Guard in Huntingdon
for eighteen years and two months. He also served nine
months in the Persian Gulf as a volunteer for the
National Guard in the clean up of Kuwait during which
time he received his promotion to Staff Sergeant. He was
an account representative for Alcon Corporation in
Memphis and co-owner of The Men's Shoppe in Huntingdon.
He received his Eagle award at the age of 15, highest
award in scouting. He was a member of the First Baptist
Church in Huntingdon and also served as one of the
senior high representatives on the Youth Council. He was
preceded in death by his father, Harold Fleming.
Survivors include: his mother, Halli Hardwick Fleming of
Jackson; and a special friend, John Gates, Jr. of
Jackson.
ELIZABETH JOSEPHINE WATSON
1929-2007
HENRY: Elizabeth Josephine Watson, 77, died February 4
at Henry County Medical Center. Funeral services were
Wednesday, February 7 at McEvoy Chapel with Bro. Thomas
Winchester officiating. Burial followed in Glisson
Cemetery.
Ms. Watson was born March 6, 1929 to the late Harvey
Leonard and Millie Josephine Glisson Owen. She was a
homemaker and a former employee of Siegel for nineteen
years. She attended New Bethel Baptist Church. Besides
her parents, she was preceded in death by two
grandchildren.
Survivors include: her husband, Bobby Watson; three
sons, Lonnie (Donna) Hodge, Charles (Elaine) Hodge and
Gary (Donna) Hodge, all of Henry; one step-daughter,
Sherrie Ann Watson of Gleason; four grandchildren; and
several great-grandchildren and great-great
grandchildren.
MARION CALDWELL McLEMORE
1920-2007
HUNTINGDON: Marion Caldwell McLemore, 86, died
Wednesday, February 7 at his home. Funeral services were
February 9 at Huntingdon Baptist Church with Bro. Fred
Ward officiating. Burial followed in Lavinia Cemetery.
Mr. McLemore was born May 12, 1920 in Carroll County to
the late U.L. and Minnie Pearl Flippin McLemore. He was
a member of Huntingdon First Baptist Church, a retired
employee of Dupont and a member of Huntingdon Masonic
Lodge #106. Besides his parents, he was preceded in
death by his wife, Meredith Crews McLemore; two
brothers, James McLemore and Robert McLemore; and three
sisters, Mattie Lou Fry, Juanita Johnson and Mildred
Propst.
Survivors include: one son, Mike (Anita) McLemore of
Huntingdon and three grandchildren.

DANNY RAY SCOTT
1959-2007
McKENZIE: Danny Ray Scott, 47, of McKenzie died
Thursday, February 1. Funeral services will be held
February 17 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the home of
Wayne and Betty Moore in Bruceton.
Mr. Scott was born June 17, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois
and was employed as Chief Engineer for Florida Marine
Transporter out of Mandeville. Louisiana. He was
preceded in death by one brother, Timmy Scott; and one
step-sister, Vicki Guinn.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle Woods Scott; his
step-mother, Lou Scott; a step-son, Joshua Woods; two
brothers, Wayne (Karen) and Larry Scott; one half
brother, Donnie Cartwright; five step-brothers, Rene
(Betty) Moore, Eddie Moore, Terry Moore, Cary Moore and
Robby Moore; six step-sisters, Tammy Mayberry, Cindy
Stewart, Brenda Starnes, Linda Barber, Connie Saylor and
Louanne Potts; one half sister, Stacy Cartwright; one
nephew, Matthew Scott and one niece, Cassie Scott.

MARY KATHERINE TAYLOR
1935-2007
WESTPORT: Mary Katherine Taylor, 71, died Friday,
February 9, from injuries she sustained in an automobile
accident. Memorial services were Sunday, February 11, at
2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home.
Mrs. Taylor was born September 2, 1935 in Oklahoma to
the late Robert Dickey and Mary Lea (Sanders) Dickey.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Concord
Missionary Baptist Church. Besides her parents she was
preceded in death by one sister, Della Mount, and two
brothers, James Dickey and Charles Dickey.
Survivors include: her husband of 25 years, Wayne Junior
Taylor; three daughters, Kelley (Tony) Timberlake of
Lexington, Debbie (Shiu) Leung of Nashville, and Lisa
Young of New Middleton; two sons, Joe (Renee') Young of
Granville, and Clint (Jo Jo) Young of Gainesboro; one
sister, Bonita Morris of Carthage; eight grandchildren
and four great-grandchildren.
The family has requested that memorials be sent to the
Concord Missionary Baptist Church for Mrs. Taylor's
funeral fund.
WALLACE K. HIME
1927-2007
MCKENZIE: Wallace K. Hime, 79, died Thursday, February
8, at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services were Saturday, February 10, at 2:00
p.m. at Dilday Funeral Home with Bro. Dewayne Thomas
officiating.. Burial followed in Liberty All Cemetery.
Mr. Hime was born November 2, 1927 to the late Willie
and Alice Hampton Hime. He was a self-employed truck
driver. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by
his wife, Majorie Hime; one brother, Buddy Hime; and two
sisters, Gladys Hime and Daisy Nesbitt.
Survivors include: one sister, Romaine Pankey of Lake
St. Louis, Missouri.
JAMES WILLIAM HELMINTOLER
1937-2007
HUNTINGDON: James William Helmintoler, 69, died
Wednesday, February 7, at Forest Cove Manor in Jackson.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
Mr. Helmintoler was born May 17, 1937 in Huntington,
West Virginia. He was a general foreman for Midwest
Operating Engineers.
Survivors include: his wife, Carolyn Helmintoler.

JOHNNIE PAULINE TAYLOR
1927-2007
TREZEVANT: Johnnie Pauline Taylor, 79, died Saturday,
February 10, at McKenzie Health Care. Funeral services
were Sunday, February 11, at 2 p.m. at Brummitt Funeral
Home in Trezevant with Bro. John Forgy officiating.
Burial followed in Trezevant Cemetery.
Mrs. Taylor, a retired beautician, was born September
26, 1927 in Steel, Missouri to the late William and
Dixie (Oakley) Courtney. She was a member of Trezevant
Church of Christ. Besides her parents, she was preceded
in death by her husband, Almos Alfred Taylor.
Survivors include: one son, Matthew A. Taylor of Costa
Rica; and two sisters, Jo Moss of Steel, Missouri and
Doris Scruggs of Huntingdon.
REVEREND LARRY DALE DAILEY
1934-2007
MCKENZIE: Rev. Larry Dale Dailey, 72, died Tuesday,
February 6, in Sunrise, Missouri. Funeral services were
Sunday, February 11, at 2:00 p.m. at First Cumberland
Presbyterian Church in McKenzie with Dr. Tony Janner
officiating. Burial followed at Carroll Memorial
Gardens.
Rev. Dailey was born June 1, 1934 in Columbia County,
Arkansas to the late Alton and Virgie Beckham Dailey. He
was previously associated with Bethel College, the
Cumberland Presbyterian Church denomination in Memphis,
a supply minister for many years, and the minister of
First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, McKenzie.
Survivors include: his wife, Sarah M. Dailey; three
sons, David Dailey, Brian (Teresa) Dailey, and Dean
(Melissa) Dailey; two brothers, Clennon (Nellie) Dailey,
and Ken (Susan) Dailey; one sister, Joyce Smith; and
five grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Happy Home Cumberland
Presbyterian Church or First Cumberland Presbyterian
Church in McKenzie.

JIM WALTER JONES
1914-2007
CEDAR GROVE: Jim Walter Jones, 92, died Sunday, February
11, at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services were Tuesday, February 13, at 2:00 p.m.
in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby
Beecham officiating. Burial followed in Hickory Flat
Cemetery.
Mr. Jones was born October 17, 1914 in Madison County to
the late Oliver Jones and Ida (Leslie) Jones. He was a
retired mechanic and a member of the Christ Community
Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by
one son, Bobby Ray Jones, three grandchildren and one
great-grandchild.
Survivors include: seven daughters, Hazel Thornton of
Corinth, Mississippi, Dorothy Holladay of Huntingdon,
Virginia Coleman of Lexington, Sue (Ron) West of Lavinia,
Nell (Willie) McClearen, Evelyn (Mack) Jones, and Marie
McBroom, all of Cedar Grove; one son Wayne (Francis)
Jones of Humboldt; 18 grandchildren, 31
great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room
of Chase Funeral Home after 5:00 p.m. on Monday and from
8:00 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday.
MICHAEL CURTIS GALLIMORE
1982-2007
JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA: Michael Curtis Gallimore, 24,
died Friday, January 26, at his home. Funeral services
were Friday, February 2, at 2 p.m. at Gallimore Funeral
Home Chapel with Chris Dowdy officiating. Burial
followed in Caledonia Cemetery in McKenzie.
Mr. Gallimore, a construction worker, was born March 25,
1982 in Martin.
Survivors include: his wife, Stephanie Renee Evans
Gallimore; his parents, Michael Thomas Gallimore of
Jacksonville Beach, Florida and Cathy Lynn Bowden
Gallimore of Gleason; two sons, Anthony Gallimore and
Nicholas Gallimore, both of Starke, Florida; his
grandmother, Fay Bowden of McKenzie; two brothers, Brian
Adam Gallimore of Starke, Florida and Chris Dowdy of
Nashville; and four sisters, Kimberly Hicks of Martin,
Jennifer Ryan of Orlinda, Debbie Parker of Paris and
Donna Blakley of Halls.
MARGARET LEE STONE
1923-2007
HUNTINGDON: Margaret Lee Stone, 83, died Monday,
February 12, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services were Tuesday, February 13, at 11:00
a.m. in the Chapel of Dilday Funeral Home with burial in
Hebron Cemetery.
Mrs. Stone was born March 30, 1923, in Haywood County,
to the late Eddie and Rosie E. Byars Rodgers. She was a
homemaker and a member of the Congressional Methodist
Church. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by
her husband, Harold Stone; one daughter, Beatrice Tubbs;
one sister, Louise Hutcherson; two brothers, William
Julius Rodgers and Byars Rodgers; and one grandson,
Michael Ray Pruett.
Survivors include: one daughter, Gloria (Johnny) Johnson
of Huntingdon; two sisters, Ruth Parham of Dyersburg,
and Alice Smith of Arlington; four grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren.
GEORGE GOODRUM
1945-2007
HUNTINGDON: George Goodrum, 61, died Monday, February
12, at his home. Funeral services were Tuesday, February
13, at 1:00 p.m. at Dilday Funeral Home with Bro. Roger
Patton officiating. Burial followed in the Liberty All
Cemetery.
Mr. Goodrum was born June 1, 1945, in Huntingdon.
Survivors include: one sister, Roxie Goodrum, and one
brother, Mose Goodrum, both of Huntingdon. |
