DAVID LEE ROBINSON, II
1969-2007
MCKENZIE: David Lee Robinson, II, 37, died Sunday, March
18, 2007 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Funeral services
are Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Long Heights
Baptist Church with Bro. Kenny Carr and Bro. Dossie
Wheatley officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet
Cemetery.
David was born October 5, 1969. He graduated from
Hollow-Rock Bruceton High School and the University of
Tennessee at Martin. He was employed with the United
States Postal Service in Martin. He was preceded in
death by his grandparents, Weldon Lee and Mable Robinson
and Arnold O. and Bobbie Jo Replogle.
Survivors include: his wife, Jennifer Travis Robinson;
one daughter, Anna Paige Robinson; his father, David
Robinson; his mother, Kathy (Billy) Tucker; one brother,
Shannon (Jamie) Robinson; two sisters, Stefanie Robinson
and Kellsee Robinson; his in-laws, Barry and Wanda
Travis; one brother-in-law, Kevin (Becky) Travis; four
nephews, Dylan Robinson, Jesse Middleton, Austin Travis
and Ethan Travis; and one niece, Chelsie Middleton. He
is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and
many dear friends and co-workers.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 20 at
McKenzie Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and
Wednesday, March 21 from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

MILDRED E. CAMP
1921-2007
BRADFORD: Mildred E. Camp, 85, died Monday, March 12, at
Lifecare Nursing Home in Bruceton. Funeral services were
Wednesday, March 14, at 2 p.m. at Hunt Funeral Home
Chapel with Bill Douglas officiating. Burial followed in
Pleasant Green Cemetery.
Mrs. Camp was born November 21, 1921 to the late Tom T.
and Lois Victoria (Swindell) Warren. She was a retired
factory employee.
Survivors include: her husband, Bobby Camp of Bradford;
one daughter, Judy G. Bolan of Camden; one son, Tonie C.
Baker of Trezevant; three grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren.
WILLIAM WAYNE KENNEDY
1931-2007
MCKENZIE: William Wayne Kennedy, 75, died Monday, March
12, at McKenzie Health Care Center. Graveside services
were Tuesday, March 13, at 2 p.m. at Carroll Memorial
Gardens with Bro. Jim Roberts officiating.
Mr. Kennedy was born August 11, 1931 to the late William
Burton and Imogene Gertrude (Lawrence) Kennedy. He was a
member of McKenzie Church of Christ and an Army veteran.
Survivors include: his wife, Joanna Faith Kennedy of
McKenzie; and one brother, Benny Kennedy of
McLemoresville.
CARL MOORE PARHAM, JR.
1959-2007
HENDERSONVILLE: Carl Moore Parham, Jr., 48, died
Tuesday, March 6, at his home. Funeral services were
Friday, March 9, at 11 a.m. at Gallimore Funeral Home
Chapel in Gleason with Paul Winchester officiating.
Burial followed in Travis Chapel Cemetery in Dresden.
Mr. Parham, a contractor, was born February 26, 1959 in
Chicago, Illinois. He was a Baptist and was preceded in
death by his father, Carl Moore Parham, Sr.
Survivors include: his mother, Reba Dell Winchester
Parham; two sons, Jimmy Parham and Carl Parham, both of
Hendersonville; one daughter, Jennifer Parham of
Hendersonville; one brother, Matt Parham of McKenzie;
three sisters, Laura Parham of Gleason, Kim Parham of
Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Rhonda Tucker of McKenzie; and
one grandchild.
LUCILLE BURCHUM FLAKE
1915-2007
HUNTINGDON: Lucille Burchum Flake, 91, died Monday,
March 12, at Landmark of Desoto in Hornlake,
Mississippi. Funeral services were Thursday, March 15,
at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Dilday Funeral Home with
Bro. Lynn Stapleton officiating. Burial followed in
Hickory Flatt Cemetery.
Mrs. Flake was born May 13, 1915, in Benton County to
the late Willie and Minnie Ray Prince Jordan. She was a
homemaker and a member of Huntingdon Missionary Baptist
Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death
by one sister, Louise Johnson; one brother, W. C.
Jordan; and three grandchildren.
Survivors include: three daughters, Laura Kirk of
Collierville, Alice Fay Baris of Euclid, Ohio, and Edna
Taylor of Walls, Mississippi; one son, Kenneth Burchum
of Memphis; three sisters, Bernice Smith and Mavis Reed,
both of Huntingdon, and Bertha Chandler of Memphis; one
brother, James Jordan of Huntingdon; 13 grandchildren,
20 great-grandchildren and three
great-great-grandchildren.
PERRY LEE PARTIN
1922-2007
MCKENZIE: Perry Lee Partin, 85, died Friday, March 16,
at Jackson-Madison County Hospital. Funeral services
were Monday, March 19, at 10:30 a.m. at McKenzie Funeral
Home with Bro. Fred Morris officiating. Burial followed
at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Mr. Partin was born January 20, 1922 in Barbourville,
Kentucky. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Mildred Partin of McKenzie;
one son, John Thomas (Linda) Partin of Barbourville,
Kentucky; two daughters, Jeri Youngdale of Northport,
Florida and Jean (Ron) Smith of Belton, South Carolina;
seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one
great-great grandchild.

McKenzie.
BOBBY JOE NORWOOD
1940-2007
MCKENZIE: Bobby Joe Norwood, 66, died Friday, March 16,
at McKenzie Regional Hospital in McKenzie. Funeral
services were Monday, March 19, 2:00 p.m. at Brummitt
Funeral Home, McKenzie with burial in Carroll Memorial
Gardens.
Mr. Norwood was born July 6, 1940 in Benton County to
William Edgar Norwood and Margaret Hessie Cole Norwood,
both deceased. He was a retired insurance salesman and a
member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church. He was preceded
in death by one brother, William Odell Norwood.
Survivors include: his wife, Sherry Sydnor Lovell
Norwood of McKenzie; three daughters, Deborah (Michael)
Deatherage of McKenzie, Angela Michelle Norwood of
Camden, and Sheena (Jeremy) Boyd of McKenzie; three
sons, Michael (Amber) Norwood of Ft. Worth, Robert
(Cindy) Lovell of McKenzie, and Patrick (Meredith)
Lovell of Gleason; 10 grandchildren; and four great
grandchildren.
ARTHUR RAY ESKEW
1923-2007
HUNTINGDON: Arthur Ray Eskew, 84, died Friday, March 16,
at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral
services were Monday, March 19, at 11:00 a.m. at First
Presbyterian Church in Huntingdon with Rev. Roger Patton
officiating. Burial followed in New Hope Cemetery.
Mr. Eskew was born March 15, 1923 in Leach to the late
David Henry Eskew and Lucy Elizabeth (Dill) Eskew. He
was the shipping clerk for Norandal Aluminum Plant, a
World War II Veteran, and a member of the First
Presbyterian Church in Huntingdon. He was also preceded
in death by two brothers, Carlos Eskew, Martin Eskew and
one sister, Estell Rosser.
Survivors include: his wife of 56 years, Maurine
(Roberts) Eskew; two sisters, Ruth Bennett (Audrain)
Bennett and Leona (T.C.) Chandler, both of Huntingdon;
and one brother, James (Frances) Eskew of Huntingdon.
ETHEL E. MERRICK
1907-2007
HUNTINGDON: Ethel Enochs Merrick, 99, died Wednesday,
March 14, at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation
Center. Funeral services were Saturday, March 17, at
1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Dilday Funeral Home with Bro.
Lynn O'Bryant and Randy Merrick officiating. Burial
followed in Jamison Cemetery.
Mrs. Merrick was born June 5, 1907 in Westport to the
late Commodore and Era Tucker Enochs. She was a
homemaker and a member of the Huntingdon Church of
Christ. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death
by her husband, Malcolm Merrick, one sister and seven
brothers.
Survivors include: one son, Wallace (Margaret) Merrick
of Huntingdon; one sister, Oletha Darnall of Huntingdon;
one brother, Woodrow Enochs of Huntingdon; three
grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
LINDA KING
1950-2007
JACKSON: Linda Gail King, 57, died Saturday, March 17,
at Jackson Madison County General Hospital Funeral
services were at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 19, at Marlboro
Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Jack Hopper
officiating. Burial followed in Marlboro Cemetery.
Ms. King was born March 4, 1950 to the late Billy E. and
Mattie Lou (McMackin) King. She was preceded in death by
her grandparents Charlie and Mamie King and Eulus and
Juanita McMackin. She was a member of Marlboro
Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one sister, Judy (Randy) Surratt.

WILLIAM CHARLES KIRBY
1928-2007
HUNTINGDON: William Charles Kirby, 78, died Wednesday,
March 14, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.
Funeral services were Saturday, March 17, at 2:00 p.m.
in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home, Huntingdon with
Bro. Lynn Stapleton officiating. Burial followed in
Jamison Cemetery.
Mr. Kirby was born August 28, 1928 in Huntingdon to the
late Otis and Annis (Brewer) Kirby. He served in the
Army, retired from General Motors Corporation in 1984
after 31 years of service and was a member of the
Huntingdon Missionary Baptist Church. Besides his
parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers,
Donnie Kirby and Henry Travis Kirby.
Survivors include: his wife of 53 years, Martha Jane
(Spellings) Kirby; two daughters, Vicky (Ricky) Myracle
of Lexington and Beverly (Larry) Darnell of
McLemoresville; three sisters, Dorothy Holladay, Evelyn
Fry, and Betty Haddock, all of Huntingdon; and three
grandchildren.
DORIS GLADYS LANKFORD
HUNTINGDON: Mrs. Dora Gladys Lankford, 89, died
Saturday, March 17, at Life Care Center in Bruceton.
Funeral services were Monday, March 19, at 1:00 p.m. at
New Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church with Bro.
Derrick Jowers, Bro. Scott Carter and Bro. Russell
Carlock officiating. Burial followed in the church
cemetery.
Mrs. Lankford was the daughter of the late Robert A. and
Cora (Hooten) Sanders. She was retired from the Publix
Shirt Corporation and a member of the New Crossroads
Missionary Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she was
preceded in death by her husband, Sam Lankford; one son,
Bryon Wayne Lankford; and one brother, Kenneth Sanders.
Survivors include: one daughter, Elizabeth (Blake)
Mason; two sons, Gene (Diane) Lankford and Rick (Brenda)
Lankford, both of Huntingdon; five sisters, Genora Cloar
of Union City, Beatrice Roberts of Huntingdon, Orville
(Buddy) Nanney of Henry, Frances Chandler of Torrence,
CA and Margie Davenport of Decatur, AL; nine
grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; four
great-great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and
six step-great-grandchildren.

JOYCE MCDANIEL
1955-2007
MCKENZIE: Joyce Renee McDaniel, 51, died Wednesday,
March 14, at her home. Funeral services were Saturday,
March 17, at 1 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home in Paris
with Michael Simmons officiating. Burial followed at
Olive Branch Cemetery in Cottage Grove.
Mrs. McDaniel was born November 29, 1955 in Paris to the
late William Jefferson Lamb and Oris Mazelle Bennett
lamb. She was a member of Jolley Springs Baptist Church
and Martha Chapter 155 Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include: her husband, William H. "Bill"
McDaniel; one son, Sam McDaniel of McKenzie; four
sisters, Janice Lamb (Steve) Vaughn of Nashville, Lori
(Tom) Dalton of Paris, Brenda (Floyd) Lessman of
Gallatin and Susan Lamb of Old Hickory; and one brother,
Jeff (Velvet) Lamb II of Henry.

RUSSELLVILLE, KENTUCKY: Virginia Thomas Bell, 86, died
Saturday, March 17, at North Crest Hospital. Funeral
services were Monday, March 19, at 1 p.m. at Pleasant
Union General Baptist Church with Rev. Kris Freeman
officiating. Burial followed in Wiley's Chapel Cemetery
in Lewisburg, Kentucky.
Mrs. Bell was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Union
General Baptist Church.
Survivors include: her husband, Harold Bell of
Russellville, Kentucky; one daughter, Kathy Bell
(Richard) Simmons of Huntingdon; and three sons, Randall
Bell of Russellville, Kentucky, Matthew (Lisa) Bell of
Mount Juliet, and Curtis (Adrianna) Bell of Effort,
Pennsylvania.

JOE PENDERGRASS
YUMA: Joe Pendergrass, 63, died Sunday, March 18, at
Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral
services were Tuesday, March 20, at 2 p.m. at Reed's
Chapel in Lexington with Bro. John D. Small officiating.
Burial followed in Jones Cemetery.
Mr. Pendergrass was a retired Xerox employee and owner
of Bailey's and Cotton Patch Restaurant.
Survivors include: his wife, Evelyn Pendergrass; his
father, Newton Howell Pendergrass of Yuma; three
daughters, Joann Pendergrass, Patty (Kevin) Hart and
Delana (Larry) Bolen, all of Yuma; two foster daughters,
Erica Hart and Lynn Kayne; one brother, Gary Pendergrass
of Yuma; three sisters, Jean Swolensky of Bartlett,
Linda Swan of Collierville, and Peggy Huffman of
Memphis; and three grandsons.
ROBBIE STANFORD FESMIRE
1936-2007
ATWOOD: Robbie Stanford Fesmire, 70, died Thursday,
March 15, at Milan General Hospital. Funeral services
were Sunday, March 18, at 2 p.m. at Bodkin Funeral Home
in Milan with Rev. Tony Latham officiating. Burial
followed in Howse Cemetery near Atwood.
Mrs. Fesmire was born July 14, 1936 to the late Dave and
Nancy Harran Branch Stanford in Henderson County. She
was a retired employee of Sandvik Windsor Corporation
and a member of First Baptist Church in Atwood. Besides
her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
James Austin (PeeWee) Fesmire; and two sisters, Haudie
Dee Coffman and Hautie Stanford.
Survivors include: one daughter, Sheila (Brooks) Gardner
of Atwood; one brother, Joe Stanford of Atwood; one
sister, A.Z. Owens of Lexington; and two grandchildren. |
