A.J. Taylor

Former Huntingdon Chief of Police A.J. Taylor died Thursday, December 27 at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was 85. Funeral services were Saturday, December 29 at Dilday Funeral Home in Huntingdon.

Taylor was the retired Chief of Police for the town of Huntingdon, where he was employed for 19 years from November 1, 1969 to January 7, 1988.

He had also served as Carroll County Judicial Commissioner and had been employed as a dispatcher for Carroll County Electric Department.

He was a member of the American Legion, Fraternal Order of Police, Tennessee Police Chiefs Association and served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
