Jackson Man Charged in Convenience Store Robberies

Bryan P. Jordan

Jackson resident Bryan P. Jordan is officially charged in recent robberies at Libby’s Quick Stop in Trezevant and Grace’s Kwik Stop in McLemoresville, according to Carroll County Sheriff’s Department officials.

The lone robber entered the stores and ordered female clerks to hand over cash at gunpoint. During the Trezevant robbery, he allegedly tied up the clerk in a back room. In McLemoresville, he reportedly told the clerk to lie down in the floor until he was gone.

On December 27, Madison County Sheriff’s Department responded to an armed robbery in that county, which led to the eventual arrest of Jordan, a 29-year-old white male who resides on Cartmell Street in Jackson. At the time of the robberies, the man was carrying what appeared to be a sawed-off single shot shotgun.

Jordan was identified as the robber in the local crimes after a photo lineup was shown to witnesses at both the Trezevant and McLemoresville convenience stores. Video cameras at each of the stores also captured the robberies in progress.

Following the McLemoresville robbery, local resident Harold Blow followed the suspect’s vehicle to Trezevant and provided authorities a description of the truck and partial license plate number.

When the suspect was arrested he was driving a vehicle similar to what was seen leaving the armed robbery at the McLemoresville store, according to a CCSO press release.

In Carroll County, he faces charges of two counts of aggravated robbery, two counts of theft, and one count of especially aggravated kidnapping. He currently remains incarcerated in Madison County Jail. No bond or court date had been set in the Carroll County cases at press time.

Jordan is also a suspect in an armed robbery in Lexington.
