Carroll and Henry counties’ unemployment

Department of Labor and Workforce
Development.
Carroll County’s jobless rate is 6.5 percent
for November, up from 5.6 percent in

in October. The rate for November 2006 was
6.4 percent.
Weakley County’s jobless rate remained
unchanged at 6.4 percent in November. The
rate was up slightly from a November 2006

from October. In 2006, the November jobless
rate was 5.0 percent. The national

“Our data indicate more people entered the
labor force this month, causing the
unemployment rate to rise slightly,” said
Commissioner Neeley. “More people entered
the labor force possibly looking for
seasonal holiday jobs that were not yet
available in November.”

services. Construction employment increased
