Accident Claims Life of Bethel Student
 

Austin Parrish
 

 

Austin Parrish, a freshman at Bethel College and a member of the Renaissance Chorus, died in a two-car accident Sunday morning in Gibson County.

Killed were Linda L. Adkisson, 45, of Milan and her passenger, Preston Moore, age 8, both of 153 Walnut Grove Road, Milan, and Austin Kyle Parrish, 19, of Arlington.

According to reports, Ms. Adkisson was headed toward Milan, on U.S. Hwy. 79, 1.5 miles out of Humboldt, when her car, a 1994 Pontiac, was hit head-on by oncoming driver Parrish who was driving a 1995 Ford Taurus.

Peter Jeffrey, director of Renaissance, said many of the Bethel students were really disturbed after receiving news of the tragedy on Sunday.

Services for Ms. Adkisson and young Moore were incomplete Monday. Baskerville Funeral Home of Humboldt is in charge of arrangements.

Services are incomplete for Parrish. Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home in Covington has charge of arrangements.
