CMT will bring music stars from various musical genres to participate in a demolition derby at the Henry County Fairgrounds on Saturday, May 10, at 8:00 p.m. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free.

The event is promoted by Mike Weatherford of derbymadness.com in conjunction with CMT television. It will be broadcast on CMT.

Henry County Mayor Brent Greer said the music star participants remain "secret" at this time. However, the drivers are part of a reality television show known as "Gone Country."

John Rich of the music group Big and Rich is the host of the show and is expected to be in attendance.

The Tennessee River Resort Act of Henry County voted Monday to provide up to $3,500 to promote the event in hopes of having a large audience.

The event includes an exhibition derby heat, that will include Mystery Seven -superstar musicians from various genres come together and experience the thrill of participation in a demolition derby. The evening includes a winner-take-all demolition.

Admission is free, so bring the whole family, friends and neighbors. Refreshments will be provided by the Henry County Fair Association.
