The fueding parents l.r. Brad Haynes, Karen Haynes, Holly Kelley, Miranda West, Logan West, and top is Cliff Kelley .
First Baptist Church Huntingdon’s drama group, directed by Cindy West presents Altar Egos by Pat Cook. Altar Egos is a comedy which humorously depicts the “I Do’s and “Don’t” of an American wedding.
New comers to the FBC stage Miranda West Stout and Logan Stout will be playing the roles of Mark and Coleen who agree “All we want is a simple wedding.” Things aren’t that simple when their families get involved. There’s the parents of the bride and groom, the McMasters played by Cliff and Holly Kelley, who think the Frobishers played by Brad and Karen Haynes are a bunch of snooty city folk. Little sister (Cari Beauchamp) can’t wait for the wedding, because she’s counting on getting the brides’ old room. Aunt Pat (Vicky Myers) and Grandmother McMasters (Melissa Powell) throw in their two cents. Throw in a whole host of characters from caterer (Aileen Davis) to ringmaster (Tim Ellis) an ex-girlfriend (Angela Wilson) and the laughs keep coming. Other members of the cast include Ben Whitehead, Jeff Robinson, Gisela Hodges, Russell Bush, Marcus Beal.
Performances are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday February 8, 9 & 10th. Seating is by reservation only. Tickets for the full course dinner, including dessert, and show are $18, $16 & $14.
