The final week of the season is here with a number of playoff spots on the line for all of the Carroll County teams.
Region 7 2A
Five teams are still in the hunt for playoff spots going into this last week. McKenzie went the first half of the season winless with an 0-5 record and picked up the pace winning three out of the last four games all of them region contests. If they beat Gibson County this Friday night they will likely finish third in the region sending them on the road for the first round of the state playoffs. If they lose to the pioneers, then they are out of the playoff hunt.
Trenton wins the region regardless of what happens in their game at Adamsville this week but the other three spots could change depending on what happens between the Rebels and Gibson County. So if McKenzie wins it will be Trenton, TCA, McKenzie, and Union City in the playoffs. If McKenzie loses to Gibson County, it’ll be Trenton, Union City, TCA, and Gibson County going to the playoffs.
