Area Bands to Compete in State Marching Competition

MURFREESBORO — Area high school marching bands will compete in Division I, small bands state competition in Murfreesboro on Saturday, November 3.

The day-long event features 23 marching bands from throughout Tennessee competing at Riverdale High School.

Competition begins at 9 a.m. and ends with the trophy presentation at 9:30 p.m.

The 23 bands will compete in the preliminary round of competition with the top 10 bands returning for the final round at 6:30 p.m.

Competition times for area bands are:

Scotts Hill – 9:45 a.m.; Hollow Rock-Bruceton at 10:15 a.m.; West Carroll at 11:15 a.m.; Fayette Academy at 11; McKenzie at 11:30 a.m.; Peabody (Trenton) at noon; Huntingdon High School at 2:15 p.m.; and Gibson County at 4 p.m.
