McKENZIE — Services for Barbara Kay Garn, 75, were Monday, April 8, 2019 at First Baptist Church, McKenzie. Interment is Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park, Tampa, Florida.
Mrs. Garner, died April 3, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was born August 18, 1943 in Trezevant, Tenn. to Otis and Eva Mae Cloyd Bateman. She is a member of First Baptist Church and retired from Bank of America as vice president. She is preceded in death by her parents and step-mother, Mary D. Bateman, her husband, Charles Garner, Sr., daughter, Lisa Garner, and sister, Patricia Cheatham.
She is survived by her children, Charles Garner, Jr. and Julie Garner of McKenzie, two sisters, Linda Williams of McKenzie and Carolyn (Jesse) Diaz of Edgewater, Florida, two brothers, Truman (Trudy) Bateman and Billy Wayne Bateman, both of McKenzie, She is survived by her children Charles Garner, Jr. and Julie Garner of McKenzie, two sisters Linda Williams of McKenzie and Carolyn (Jesse) Diaz of Edgewater, FL, two brothers Truman (Trudy) Bateman and Billy Wayne Bateman both of McKenzie, many nieces and nephews and a sister –in-law Sharon (David) Hess of McKenzie.
