Mc Kenzie, TNFuneral services for H.R. “Buddy” McKinney age 91, are Friday, April 12, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday, April 12, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. until service time. Brother Dennis Trull will officiate and interment is at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Mr. McKinney, died April 10, 2019 at Henry Co. Medical Center. He was born January 3, 1928 in McKenzie to Preston and Annie Barker McKennie. He is a member of First Baptist Church McKenzie, founder of McKinney Hardware, and World War II Navy veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Wilma Smith McKinney, two sisters, Sue Nell Wilson and Joyce McDearmon and a brother, Maurice McKennie.
He is survived by his son, Phillip (Marcy) McKinney of McKenzie, sister, Patty Ted) Foster of McKenzie, brother Wayne McKennie of McKenzie, two grandchildren Austin McKinney and Meredith (Patrick) Lovell, two step-grandchildren Chris (Christine) Rawls and Luke (Erica) Rawls, two great-grandchildren Maxie and Bailee and five step-great grandchildren Cameron, Riley, Taylor, Chase and Haylee.
