Carroll County General Sessions Court convened Wednesday, July 3, 2019. The following are cases heard on that date.
Cases that were bound over to the Grand Jury of the Carroll County Circuit Court are as follows:
Ronnie G. Smith, Ball Creek Road, Buena Vista, bound over on charges of habitual traffic offender, violation of financial responsibility law, failed to carry registration certificate, seat belt violation.
The following cases yielded a guilty plea or conviction.
Dalton Allen, Clover Street, Bruceton, guilty DUI first offense, two days jail, loss of license for one year, supervised probation for 11 months, 27 days, $350 fine.
Christopher Hinson, Hurt Street, Trezevant, guilty, reckless driving, $350 fine, two days jail. Dismissed charged of violation of order of protection; pre-trial diversion on charge of assault.
LaRuth Jamison, Roan Creek Church Road, Yuma, guilty, worthless check, must pay court costs and restitution.
Curtis Troyvale Owens, Holcomb St., Hollow Rock, guilty, failure to carry license, four days jail, probation for 26 days.
Brian Andrew Scott, Highway 104, Lavinia, guilty, DUI second offense, $600 fine, 45 days jail, do not drive for two years; dismissed charges of seat belt, driving while suspended, and failure to carry registration certificate.

Naomi Williams, Elm Street, McKenzie, guilty, worthless check, no sentence listed.
Vasquez W. Yarbrough, Smyrna Road, Huntingdon, guilty, display/possess cancel/revoked or suspended driver’s license, four days jail., 26 days unsupervised probation.
The following case was disposed through pre-trial diversion.
Johnny Welton Drinkard, Mount Pleasant Church Road, Bruceton, pre-trial diversion of for allowing dog to run at large.
The following cases were dismissed:
Curtis Troyvale Owens, Holcomb Street, Hollow Rock, dismissed charges of driving while suspended, seat belt violation, disobey traffic control device, failure to illuminate license plate, violation of financial responsibility. All charges were dropped.
Brandon Stewart, Highway 45, Martin, dismissed, failure to appear.
Andrew Arnold Tosh, Beach Lane, Springville, dismissed, violation of order of protection/restraining order.
James F. Warmath, Highway 105, Trezevant, dismissed, DUI first offense, possession of meth, possession of schedule IV drugs, implied consent, violation of registration, and violation of financial responsibility. All charges were dismissed.
