It’s really hard to believe that we are already knocking on November’s front door.  Thanksgiving will be here before we know it!
Veterans Day is right around the corner.  The Office on Aging will honor Carroll County’s Senior Veterans with a luncheon at Mallard’s Restaurant on Monday, November 5,  11:30. If you would like to attend this luncheon you must register by Thursday, November 1. You can sign up by giving us a call at 986-1985.
We are pleased to have Ms. Sylvia Whitaker back with us as a volunteer teaching the acrylic painting classes during November and December.  These classes are Monday mornings, 9 to 11.
The ladies in the class have been asking when she would be coming back.
They were very happy to hear she will be joining them once again to lend her expertise to their painting skills.

How would you like to learn to make gift boxes from recycled greeting cards?  Kathy Winchester will teach us how to make this craft on Wednesday, November 7 at 10:00 in the Office on Aging kitchen.  
There is no charge to take the class, just be sure you bring a pair of scissors with you. We ask you please sign up by Friday, November 2.
Our Thanksgiving add-a-dish luncheon is Thursday, November 8 at 11:30.  The Office on Aging will provide the chicken and dressing, ham, rolls, tea and coffee.  
Attendees to bring side dishes and desserts. There is no need to sign up, just be sure you bring a side dish or dessert.
The center is center Veterans Day on Monday, November 12 and for Thanksgiving on Thursday and Friday November 22 and 23.
