Meth Found — A Benton County woman was arrested December 8 when illegal drugs were found in the vehicle she was riding in as a passenger.
Misty Goodman, 40, of Camden was charged with for possession of a schedule II drug. According to the report by Deputy Michael Sevarns, he pulled over a vehicle driven by William Goodman on Highway 70 east of Bruceton because the vehicle’s headlights were off.
After getting the driver’s permission to search the vehicle, officers found a clear plastic baggy containing a substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine on the floorboard on the passenger’s side.
Misty Goodman told officers that the drugs belonged to her and that Mr. Goodman didn’t know anything about it. She was transported to Carroll County Jail with bond set at $2,500.
License, Registration Violations — A Gibson County woman was cited for license and registration violations during a November 26 traffic stop in Trezevant.
According to the report by Deputy Steven Scott, he stopped a vehicle driven by Amanda Mears, 34, of Humboldt for a broken tail light.
A computer check showed the Mear’s license was suspended, and she could not produce proof of insurance or vehicle registration. When asked by the officer why the license plate number on the vehicle did not match the vehicle, Mear’s said that she had originally bought the vehicle for her mother, but her mother had never gotten it registered. Mear’s was cited for driving on a suspended license, and the vehicle was seized for open title.
Aggravated Burglary — A Bruceton man was arrested November 24 for allegedly breaking into a vacant Hollow Rock residence.
Cody Allen Irwin, 26, of 731 Cherry Creek Road was charged with aggravated burglary, theft of property under $1,000, and vandalism. According to the report by Deputy Michael Sevarns, he responded to 660 Cherry Creek Lane after receiving a call about lights being on at the residence when no one was supposed to be staying there.

As he arrived at the scene, Sevarns observed Irwin exiting the residence. Irwin was found to be in possession of a gold watch and a plastic NRA card, both belonging to the homeowner.
Sevarns reported that it appeared that the front door had been kicked in.
DUI — A McKenzie man was arrested during a November 24 traffic stop in Huntingdon.
Ethan Daniel Joyner, 28, of 1845 New Zion Road was charged with DUI and violation of implied consent. According to the report by Deputy Steven Scott, he pulled over a vehicle driven by Joyner on Veterans Drive North after observing the vehicle cross over the center line multiple times.
Joyner, who told Scott he had been drinking, performed poorly on field sobriety tests and refused to submit to a blood-alcohol or breathalyzer test.
Multiple Charges — Two Cedar Grove men were arrested on multiple charges November 26 at a Cedar Grove residence.
According to the report by Deputy Ethan C. Parham, he was about to pull over a white Honda Accord on Highway 70 because the vehicle’s tags did not match the car’s make and model, but the vehicle pulled into a residential driveway before he could initiate a traffic stop. Parham pulled into a nearby driveway and observed that no one was getting out of the vehicle, which started to back out of the driveway at one point, but then pulled back up. Parham left the driveway and pulled into the driveway behind the Honda.
The driver, Donald John Buddie, 65, of 139 Patsy Lane, got out of the car and started walking toward Parham, while the passenger, David Richard Hernandez, 52, of 4596 Highway 104, also got out and started walking around aimlessly.
While questioning Buddie, Parham noticed that Hernandez, who was obviously intoxicated, had a handgun. Parham and other deputies placed Hernandez under arrest and seized the handgun, but Hernandez resisted violently. At one point, Parham used a taser gun on Hernandez when he tried to run away. Deputies found over 40 grams of marijuana and about two grams of meth in the vehicle.
