HUNTINGDON (September 10) — The Huntingdon Middle School Fillies hosted McKenzie Monday seeking to avenge an 11-10 loss in McKenzie last month after leading 10-0. This time, it was Huntingdon making the comeback for a 4-3 win.
McKenzie went ahead with a run each in the first and third innings, but the Fillies took the lead with four in the home half of the third. The Lady Rebels plated a run in the fourth for the one-run loss.
Huntingdon’s Hannah King was 1-for-2 with a double and three RBIs. Josie Sanders was 1-for-2 with an RBI. Madison Mann was 1-for-2 with a run scored. Josey Stokes was 1-for-1, and Delaney Byars was 1-for-2.
Lady Rebel Briley Auvenshine was 1-for-2 with a walk, an RBI, a run scored and two stolen bases. Payton Ognibene and Kassidy Brown were each 1-for-2 with a walk and an RBI. Kylie Reynolds was 1-for-3 with a double and a stolen base. Savannah Davis was 1-for-3 with a run scored and a stolen base. Belle O’Brien was 1-for-3. Katie Prather was 0-for-2 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base.
Kassidy Brown took the complete-game loss for McKenzie, allowing four runs (one earned) on five hits while striking out two and walking none.
