Free Fire Alarms This Saturday

Posted

The Carroll County Fire Department, in coordination with the State Fire Marshal’s Office is hosting a smoke alarm canvassing effort on Saturday, October 13. On that day, volunteers will visit multiple areas of the county and offer to install free 10-year sealed battery smoke alarms and educate residents about fire safety. These installations will occur in residences throughout our community as part of the “Get Alarmed Tennessee!” program, a free smoke alarm installation program that has been in place since 2012. The program has saved over 250 lives and we want to help save even more.
The canvassing begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, October 13. If you are in need of a smoke alarm and would like us to visit your residence on October 13 please contact Amanda Sneed at (731) 986-1916.
