Hollywood Film Has Tater Town Ties

Gleason, Tenn. seems about as far away from Hollywood as one could get, well at least 1,939 miles away. Former Gleason resident and son of the mayor of Gleason, Marty Poole lives the Hollywood film lifestyle as a writer, producer and distributor.

Poole’s latest film, ‘Bernie the Dolphin’ is set to be released Friday, December 7 nationwide. AMC Theater in Martin, Tenn. will show the feature film.

“I am super excited to have one of our films showing locally Friday night and on demand (pay-per-view). This is such a great family movie with lovable characters. We are so proud of the support we have received from our friends and family in and around Gleason and can’t wait for everyone to see this film,” stated Poole about having his film shown locally.

Poole’s background includes twenty years in independent movies having written and produced a number of successful films. He serves as founder and president of Fairway Film Alliance, a full service independent film sales and production company.

‘Bernie the Dolphin’ is co-written by Poole and Terri Emerson and produced through Poole’s Fairway Film Alliance with AMBI Media Group and Grindstone Entertainment.

Set in St. Augustine, Fl., ‘Bernie the Dolphin’ is a family adventure about a brother and sister who befriend a badly sunburned dolphin separated from his family, and uncover a secret plan that could destroy the beach and their new friend’s home. The kids must devise a clever plan to stop the bad guys, protect the sea life, and, most importantly, save their best friend, Bernie.

Poole is currently in Florida scouting locations for the sequel ‘Bernie the Dolphin 2’.
