Hospital Announces Death of Dr. Jerry Atkins

Baptist Hospital of Carroll County today announces the death of long-time physician and public servant Jerry Atkins.  Atkins served  in private medical practice and  served the public on many volunteer boards. 

We are very saddened at the passing of our beloved colleague, mentor and friend Dr. Jerry Atkins. He was an amazing physician and a wonderful man. As a doctor, and a member of this community he was as highly thought of as they come. He happily and lovingly served the people of Carroll County for more than 50 years. He made our community a better place. For that, we are eternally grateful. We will all miss him greatly. Our thoughts and prayers are with his lovely wife Paula and his beautiful children and grandchildren.
