Huntingdon Board of Education Meets Ahead of Summer Break

HUNTINGDON — The Huntingdon School Board met in its final session before the school year ends. After approving the April Balance sheets and minutes from April’s meeting, the board approved the 2019-2020 Development calendar for the Huntingdon Special School District.
Several assignments were acknowledged by the board including Christy Carey as Primary School Principal, Scott Carter as Middle School Principal, Jonathan Kee as High School Principal, Angie Bunn as Supervisor of Instruction and Special Education, Alan Eubanks as Supervisor of Federal Projects and Attendance, and Nikki Fronabarger as Food Service Supervisor.
Employment of Certified and Non-certified staff for next year was acknowledged by the board as well.
Three resignations were announced Educational Assistant Angela Moody, Fourth Grade teacher Emilie Strawser, and Primary Cafeteria worker Ellen Wooley.

The board approved the 2019-2020 Consolidated Application for IDEA/ESEA and also approved budget amendments for the month.
They saw and heard a presentation from Mandy Drewry with Carroll County Coordinated School Health.
Board members approved a request to increase student lunch prices by ten cents and approved the amending of a board policy regarding school board meetings.
The next meeting was announced for June 20 at 7 p.m.
