The Huntingdon Council met in a brief session approving change orders on work being done at the Kelley Sports Complex and amending the grant amount on a sewer pump station being installed near Granges.
The council approved Grant Amendment 1 for FastTrack Infrastructure Program regarding the Granges Americas/Buena Vista road Sewer Pumping Station. This amendment increases the total grant amount received from the State of Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development by $26,086 for a total contract amount of $421,936. The 13% local match amount of $59,150 remains the same. The maximum total project cost will increase to $481,086.
Two change orders were approved for work being done at the Kelley Sports Complex. Bid package D concerning concession building windows were bid in mid-January 2019 producing no bidders. Jones Electrick and Automation, LLC expressed interest in doing the windows to prevent further construction delays for the project. Change order 2 states that the contractor will provide the windows indicated in the project documents including all material and labor for fabrication and installation at the lump sum amount of $34,500 for a total contract price of $143,687.
Change order 3 includes providing all materials and labor, including electrical inspection fees, for the extension of electrical conduit to future outfield lighting locations in order to avoid sidewalk construction. This work does not include the labor and materials for the gravel backfill of the trench provided by the Town of Huntingdon. Change order 3 increases the contract by the lump sum amount of $9,100 for a total contract price of $152,787.
