Public Intoxication — A local man was arrested during an April 4 domestic incident at a Huntingdon residence.
Robert Lee Rush, 56, of Huntingdon was charged with public intoxication. According to the report by Officer Devon White, he responded to a call about a domestic disturbance at 120 Bridgeman Street, and when he arrived at the scene, he found Rush arguing and yelling at his sister, Mandy Mayo, in the front yard. When Rush saw White pulling into the driveway, he took off running into the back yard and behind a neighbor’s house. White ordered Rush to stop running, and Rush stopped and turned around but would not come willingly back to the front yard. Rush continued to resist, so White physically pulled his hands behind his back, handcuffed him, and escorted him back to his patrol car. White reported that Rush smelled strongly of alcohol, and when asked if he had been drinking, Rush said: “Not enough.” Mayo told White that she had asked Rush to leave her house several times. While White was speaking with Mayo, Rush started yelling aggressively at Mayo and banging his shoulders on the patrol car. White placed Rush under arrest and transported him to the Carroll County Jail.
License Violation — A Huntingdon man was cited into court during a March 26 traffic stop in Huntingdon.
Noah Maxwell, 23, was charged with driving on a suspended license. According to the report by Officer Bradley Robertson, he observed a vehicle driven by Maxwell traveling 60 mph in a 35 mph zone. A computer check revealed that Maxwell’s driver’s license was suspended. Maxwell was transported to the Carroll County Jail to be booked and cited.
