HUNTINGDON (October 18) — Members of the Huntingdon School Board will visit each of the three school sites on December 4 to hear the wants, needs, and concerns from teachers and administrators at the buildings.
Each December, board members visit the schools to get a first-hand look at the physical plants and student activities.
The day starts at 7 a.m. at the board office on High Street. A brief business meeting will include presentations by the three principals. The board will eat breakfast before heading out to the schools and then return to the board office for a working lunch.
Chairman Dr. Lee Carter said the list of items to review has decreased each year. He noted that is a good thing.
Under the consent agenda, the board approved a leave of absence for Steve Peery from August 3, 2018 to February 2, 2019, followed immediately by his retirement on March 1, 2019.
The textbook committee was approved as follows: Huntingdon Primary School –Latasha Woodell; Huntingdon Middle School – Jamie Sanders and Ben Carter; and Huntingdon High School – Kathy Adams (World Languages), Robbie Miller (Social Studies), Scott Hampton (CTE-Marketing, Business Management, and Administration), and Elizabeth Lott – Finance.
