Huntingdon to Host Main Street Christmas

Huntingdon will host Main Street Christmas on Saturday, December 8, with events beginning at 2 p.m.
Throughout the afternoon and evening will be ISTEA train rides, live nativity with church choirs, Christmas carolers, food trucks, local shopping, pop-up vendors and more.
From 2-6 p.m., pictures can be made with Santa by A. Wilson Photography in The Dixie’s Hal Holbrook Threatre. The Dixie PAC gift shop and box office will be open for shopping and ticket purchases.
At the Court Threatre, “It’s a Wonderful Life” will play at 2 p.m., with free admission presented by Carroll Bank and Trust. The Nutcracker will show at 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

At 5:15 p.m. is the lighting of the tree at City Hall.
A character meet-and-greet is from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on the court square.
The Bill Willoughby Memorial Christmas Parade begins at 6:30 p.m. The parade will start on West Main Street and progress to and around the south side of the court square and then onto East Main Street. The parade will conclude after turning onto 5th Avenue.
To register to enter the parade and be eligible for prize money, call the Huntingdon Police Department at 731-986-5310. The deadline to enter the parade for the judging is Friday, December 7 at 3 p.m.
