1934-2019
HUNTINGDON - James “Jack” Garland McCaslin, age 84, of Huntingdon, Tennessee died peacefully March 8, 2019 in his home, surrounded by loved ones.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2019 in the
Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Sellers Hill Cemetery. Brother Tim Parish and Todd Buttrey will officiate.
Jack was born November 25, 1934 in Huntingdon, Tennessee to the late
Johnny & Euna Mae McCaslin. He was preceded in death by his daughter,
Celena Stanford; sister, Ruth Baumgardner; and brother, Johnny McCaslin,
Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Yevonne Collins McCaslin;
two daughters, Alisa (Carl) Byars of Huntingdon, Tennessee and Robin
(Todd) Buttrey of Yuma, Tennessee; three sons, Ronald McCaslin of
Indiana, Mitchell (Melinda) Carter of Huntingdon, Tennessee, and Stephen
Carter of Greenfield, Tennessee; son-in-law, Charles Stanford of Cedar
Grove, Tennessee; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren;
and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Dilday-Carter
Funeral Home from 4 p.m. Until 8 p.m. and also Monday from 10 a.m. until
time of service at 1 p.m.
Pallbearers include Junior Simmons, Dale Mann, Joe Baumgardner, Max
Anderson, Barry Dillahunty, and Danny Brandon. Honorary Pallbearers
include Earl Hammett, John Robert Hickman, Lindy Dill, Tommy Tippett,
Lynn Johnson, Stanley Cook, Alan Espey, Ben Deeter, Charlie Hodges, and
Joe Parker.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Carroll County Relay for
Life c/o Carroll Bank & Trust (19510 E. Main Street, Huntingdon,
Tennessee 38344).
