Mc Kenzie, TNMcKenzie, Tenn. - Funeral services for James Malcolm Toombs, 80, are Monday, December 3, 2018, 2:00 p.m. at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends Sunday, December 2, 2018 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Monday 10:00 a.m. until service time. Brother Dwayne Thomas is officiant and interment is at Meridian Cemetery, Greenfield, Tenn.
Mr. Toombs, was self-employed for Toombs Heating & Air Repair Service and also worked with Johnsonius Sheet Metal for thirty-five years. He died Thursday, November 29, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Toombs was born March 14, 1938 in McKenzie, TN to Virgil and Myrtle Toombs Bush. He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Dottie Tucker Toombs of McKenzie, a daughter, Debbie Hubble of McKenzie, a son, David Toombs of McKenzie, a brother, Virgil (Nancy) Bush of McKenzie, a sister, Jeanette (Terry) Jones of McKenzie, three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, six step-great grandchildren and two very special friends, Dave and Martha Sue Peters of McKenzie.
