QUARRYVILLE, Penn. — Jo Ann Wolfe, 73, of Quarryville, Pennsyvania, died on April 2, 2019 at her home after a brief illness.
She was born August 6, 1945 in Martin, Tennessee to Joseph (Joe) Edwin and Violet (Dolly) Elizabeth Chadwick. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ben A. Wolfe, her parents, sister, Linda Stokes, and brothers, William and James Chadwick.
Survivors include: her two brothers Joe Chadwick of Jackson, Tenn., Steve Chadwick of Buchanan, Tenn., and three step-children: Debbie Wolfe of Middletown, Deleware, Linda Doughten of Bear, Delaware, and Scott Wolfe of Landenberg, Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Wolfe was an active member of Calvary Independent Baptist Church of Quarryville, Pennsylvania since 2014. During her working career, she was a professor of Accounting and Mathematics at the University of Delaware and Goldey Beacom College for 45 years. She was recognized as Teacher of the Year several times and authored a textbook, Fundamentals of Real Estate Mathematics.
She served as auditor of London Britain Township in Chester County for six years. After retirement, she worked for Wells Fargo Bank as a reverse mortgage specialist for eight years while living on Marco Island, Florida.
Reynolds Funeral Home in Quarryville, Pennsylvania is in charge of the immediate interment in the Nottingham Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Nottingham, Pennsylvania. At the request of Jo Ann, there will be no services. +
