ATWOOD — West Carroll’s War Eagles played host to Clarksburg Monday, April 15 for a doubleheader with nearly perfect weather. Both games were relatively short due to the Lady War Eagle’s dominance at the plate and in the pitching circle.

The first game went less than an hour with the Lady War Eagles scoring 5 runs in the first and 11 runs in the second to blank the Lady Rockets 16-0. The contest was mercy ruled after two innings. The Lady War Eagles had 16 runs on 13 hits and recorded 15 RBIs in just two innings of action.
Several Lady War Eagles had extra base hits starting with Macey Cunningham hitting a double and a pair of triples in three at bats. Shatara Brooks also had a triple while Alyssa Butler, Zoey Cook, and Alexis Houston hit doubles. Brooks drove in 3 runs while Butler, Cook, and Cunningham all drove in a pair of runs along with Shelby Browning, Denver Brooks, and Ashton Worrell also drove in multiple runs.
