Theft of Merchandise — A McKenzie woman was cited into General Sessions Court for Shoplifting after being seen stealing merchandise from Little General  last Thursday. Ms. Athena Stafford of McKenzie was observed by a Little General employee and confirmed by video taking merchandise without paying for it. Stafford was cited into court and also issued a ban notice for Little General.

Vandalism — Angelica Wells was cited into General Sessions Court for vandalism after she broke a window at her boyfriend’s residence on Park Circle. According to the report filed by Jeffrey Lowden, both Wells and her boyfriend had an argument and she was in the process of leaving when he locked the door and she took the light cover and threw it at the window. Both persons were questioned during which Wells admitted to breaking the window. The property owner was contacted and wished to press charges so Wells was charged with Vandalism.

Driving on Suspended/Revoked License — Patrolman Chance Townes observed a car run a stop sign and initiated a traffic stop. According to Townes’ report, he smelled what he thought was marijuana as he approached the car.  The driver, Ms. Danielle Stover, of Bruceton, was found to be driving on a suspended license. She also admitted to possessing marijuana which was found during a search. Stover was cited into General Sessions Court for Driving on a Suspended License.
