Driving on Suspended/Trespass by Motor Vehicle — A Paris man had multiple charges filed against him after Sgt. Kyle Beauchamp located a silver car parked at the former Gaines Furniture property during a patrol in that area Tuesday afternoon, October 9.
According to Beauchamp’s report he was patrolling there due to recent thefts of metal from building structures on the property. The owners had filed reports and requested extra patrol in the area.
Beauchamp found the car occupied by a whilte male who attempted to drive by him and he initiated a traffic stop.
The male was identified as Christopher Pillinger of Paris and a license check revealed that it was suspended for failure to show proof of insurance in Henry County.
Beauchamp conducted a search of his vehicle after Pillinger consented and a cigarette pack was found containing a baggie with what appeared to be a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine along with a short straw typlcally used for snorting powders.

The substance was field tested and found to be meth.
Pillinger was arrested and charged with simple possession of Methamphetamine and driving on a suspended license first offense.
Driving on Suspended/Speeding/Financial Responsibility — Officer Jeff Winberry initiated a traffic stop Friday, October 12, shortly before noon while on patrol on Cedar Street after observing a vehicle speeding.
The driver, identified as Romello Woodfork, told Winberry he did not have a license. An information check was done revealing his license to be suspended multiple times.
Woodfork was also unable to provide proof of insurance. He was charged with driving on a suspended license fourth offense, violation of financial responsibility law, and speeding.
