Men’s Basketball Signs DSCC Standout Myron McKinney

DYERSBURG — The Bethel University Men’s Basketball program signed Dyersburg State Community College standout 6’5” Myron McKinney. Myron is the son of David Wesson and Chastity McKinney and will major in Physical Education. He played his prep ball at Halls High School in Halls, Tennessee.
McKinney averaged 14.5 points and 6.6 rebounds at DSCC. He was the team’s second leading scorer. He averaged 3.1 assists per outing and shot 75.4 percent from the foul line which led the team from the charity stripe. He was MVP of the team and was named to the Region Seven Tennessee JUCO Second Team All-Conference squad. The Eagles finished 23-8 on the year.
Coach Jeff Britt said, “We are pleased to have Myron join our program for the next two seasons.
We look forward to working with him and feel he will help us at the wing position and on our front line.”
