Miss Dixie PAC Scholarship Pageant is Saturday

Posted

The Dixie Carter Performing Arts and Academic Enrichment Center will once again bring the tradition of Southern grace and style to The Miss America Organization with the 2019 Miss Dixie PAC Scholarship Pageant, a preliminary to the Miss Tennessee Scholarship Pageant.
The event is Saturday, August 25, 7:00 p.m. at The Dixie in downtown Huntingdon. Tickets are $15 per person.
Dixie Carter, The Dixie’s namesake, was one of the area’s most well-known pageant winners.
In 1958, she proudly served as Miss Huntingdon and as Miss Tennessee First Runner-Up in 1959.
In true Dixie fashion, Miss Dixie PAC honors those qualities Ms. Carter embodied best – grace, intelligence, talent, beauty, and confidence.

The Miss Dixie PAC title provides a forum for a well-spoken woman to share her personal platform through program support, educational efforts and community service.
Miss Dixie PAC’s carry on Ms. Carter’s winning tradition:
Lauren Dickson was Miss Dixie PAC 2018. Lauren won the Miss Tennessee talent preliminary and finished in the Top 10.
Yvannah Garcia was Miss Dixie PAC 2017. Yvannah won the Miss Tennessee talent preliminary and finished in the Top 10.
This performance is not part of any season packages.
