HUNTINGDON — A Lexington man is incarcerated in the Henderson County Jail after leading a high-speed chase by multiple agencies through three counties. His flight ended in Huntingdon with a rollover crash as he came to the end of Lexington Street and failed to negotiate the turn to enter State Route 22 South.
Arrested was Michael Priestly Jowers, 35, of Spring Street, Lexington. He was driving a 2004 Ford Focus, registered to David A. Kincaid of Denmark, Tennessee.
Sheriff Andy Dickson said the chase started in Lexington as U.S. Marshals pursued the vehicle. He traveled into Madison County on State Route 412, where he almost hit the vehicle of Trooper Matt Williams, who pursued him into Carroll County. Dickson said his department gave pursuit. Dispatcher Jamie Summers provided the location and speed, up to 100 miles per hour, of the department’s pursuit vehicle during the chase. Dickson said he went to Terry Road, U.S. 70, and made his way into Huntingdon, where the city’s officers joined the chase.

A passenger in the vehicle, Amber Nicole Kincaid, 29, was throwing things out the window of the fleeing vehicle, according to the report filed by HPD. Charges are expected later for the passenger.
He was transported to Baptist Hospital-Carroll County for observation and then to Carroll County Jail, where he was incarcerated until being transferred to Henderson County. She was also transported to Baptist for treatment of minor injuries.
He was charged by HPD with felony reckless driving and felony evading.
