HUNTINGDON (January 7) — Multiple indictments including murder and juvenile kidnapping were handed down by the Carroll County Grand Jury during their first session of the year last week. The Grand Jury indicted 47 persons on multiple charges to stand trial in Circuit Court.
A Carroll County man, David Herbert Anderson, 59, of Yuma, was indicted for second degree murder in the shooting death of his neighbor, 64-year old Ben Cole Birdwell last July. Birdwell’s body was found on a railroad bed near both of their properties with a head wound. Birdwell was a retired DEA agent. According to reports, the two men had a history of property disputes. Anderson was also indicted for felony stalking, felony possession of a firearm with intent to go armed, unlawful possession of a weapon, criminal trespass and tampering with evidence.
A Jackson man, Joseph Ivan Fallon 34, was indicted on multiple charges in connection with the abduction of a 15-year old Huntingdon girl last October. He reportedly met the girl through an online dating site and met with her multiple times before eventually taking her to Gainesville, Florida. Authorities found them at a convenience store where they arrested Fallon. He has been indicted for aggravated kidnapping, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, concealing/harboring a runaway child, and purchasing alcoholic beverages for a child.
An 18-year old McKenzie man Orlando T. Olive, has been indicted for attempted second degree murder in addition to other charges for shooting his cousin, Ameshel Teague, 33, also of McKenzie, last October. Olive allegedly walked into her yard where she was standing in her driveway with her two children and two friends and fired three shots with one hitting her in the hip. Olive is also indicted for felony possession of a firearm with intent to go armed, unlawful possession of a weapon, and aggravated assault.

Lakeisha Nicole Abbott — for possession of schedule I drugs with intent to manufacture sell and deliver, possession of meth with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver, felony possession of a firearm with intent to go armed, prohibited weapons-certain guns, simple possession/casual exchange, and possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia uses and activities.
Calvin Lynn Blackwell — for two counts of aggravated assault and one count of domestic assault.
Breanna Lynn Buddie — for aggravated child abuse, neglect, and reckless endangerment-no weapon involved.
Randy Collins — for vandalism up to $1,000, simple possession/casual exchange, felony possession of a firearm with intent to go armed, false reports to officer, possession of meth with intent to manufacture, deliver, and sell, aggravated assault, and felony failure to appear.
Joshua Earl Cook — for two counts of theft up to $1000 and two counts of theft of property ($1,000 to $2,500)
Rhonda Lee Crackel — for possession/casual exchange of meth and contraband in a penal facility.
Gregory Michael Curry — for first offense DUI.
Vincent Gene Farmer — for first offense DUI.
Tommy Deion Flakes — for unlawful possession of a weapon and driving while license revoked.
Joseph Fowler — for arson and insurance fraud-$60,000 - $250,000.
Thomas Matthew Goss — for sexual offender registration form violation, community service violation, and schedule VI drugs, mfg, del, sell, poss.
Ashlyn Nichole Hayes — for aggravated child abuse/neglect/endangerment.
Derrick Antwon Howard — for fourth offense DUI, aggravated child abuse/neglect/endangerment-8 & under, and misdemeanor violation of implied consent law.
Cody Allen Irwin — for aggravated burglary, theft up to $1,000 and vandalism up to $1,000.
Charles Brent Jackson — for possession of meth with intent to manufacture, deliver and sell along with initiating manufacture of methamphetamine.
Randy Alan Luther — for aggravated vehicular assault, aggravated child abuse/neglect/endangerment-8 & under and driving on roadways laned for traffic, DUI-first offense, felony reckless endangerment-vehicle, aggravated assault, reckless driving, and violation of motor vehicle ignition interlock device-third offense or subsequent.
