National Nursing Home Week Celebrated at AHC

McKENZIE — The 24th anniversary of the AHC, formerly McKenzie Healthcare, was observed during a morning ceremony on Monday.
Mayor Jill Holland, Carroll County Mayor Joseph Butler, and Police Chief Craig Moates were involved in presenting flowers to the resident mothers with the distinction of oldest, youngest, and most children.

Mayor Jill Holland presented a corsage to her former teacher, Lanier Mabry, who is 103 years old and the oldest mother at the facility. Mabry was Holland’s fourth grade teacher.
Chief Moates presented to the Jessie Scott, who has nine children and Mayor Butler presented a corsage to Linda Kennedy, the youngest mother.
Shawn Walls, administrator, thanked everyone for attending and noted the celebration will continue throughout the week.
