Paris Landing Inn Being Razed

Buchanan — Workers have made significant progress in the demolition of the Paris Landing Inn since work began in mid-November. The main lobby area is now down and the frame of the portion that contained the hotel rooms is still standing, but much of the interior and windows has been removed and/or salvaged from that section. Workers began dismantling the building beginning at the back of the building. New Park Manager Zach Tinkle said all the furniture and other items were removed from the facility before demolition began and have been given to other parks in the state. The Inn will be replaced by a more modern, but smaller facility. State officials estimate the new Inn will be completed in 2020.
