Senator Marsha Blackburn to Speak at Commemorative Luncheon

McKENZIE – U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn, Tennessee’s first female U.S. senator, is the featured speaker at the Women’s Suffrage Commemorative Luncheon, sponsored by the City of McKenzie, Carroll Arts, and McKenzie Mayor Jill Holland.
The event is August 2, noon, at the First United Methodist Church, McTyiere Street, McKenzie. Tickets are $10 and are available at McKenzie City Hall or any Carroll Arts member until July 26.
The year 2019 marks the 100th year of the women’s right to vote. The event will feature Senator Blackburn plus retell the story of Susan B. Anthony and the struggle for women to earn the right to vote.
