The Shepherd’s Table, a community kitchen, returns 5:15 p.m., January 15 at the First Presbyterian Church of Huntingdon.
A meal is served, restaurant style, to the hungry and those that do not want to eat alone on the third Tuesday of each month at the Church’s Fellowship Hall, located at 19835 E. Main Street, in Huntingdon.
The supper is open to the public and the kitchen will serve food until 6:45 p.m.
The menu for the January meal includes homemade vegetable beef soup, peanut butter and jelly or pimento cheese sandwich, and delicious apple crisp served with ice cream. Beverages will consist of sweet tea, unsweet tea, lemonade, milk, juice and water. All hot meals are prepared fresh. The menu committee ensures each meal is delicious and nutritious.
Many of the attendees of The Shepherd’s Table might not have the opportunity to dine out.
