West Carroll Sweeps Rockets

West Carroll picked up a pair of district wins sweeping Clarksburg in a doubleheader Monday, April 15.

The War Eagles had a hitfest in the first contest scoring 15 runs on 13 hits while recording 14 RBIs. They plated three runs in the first inning, seven in the second inning, and five in the third inning while pitcher Jaxson Hames pitched a perfect no-no giving up no hits, no runs and no walks while striking out seven in three innings of action to collect the win.
Antonio Williams, Aaron Heckert, and Zack Heckert had two hits each in the game while seven War Eagles had extra base hits including, both Heckerts, Hames, Williams, Tyson Keymon, Devin Nash, and PJ Winberry. 10 War Eagles recorded RBIs in the contest. 12 War Eagles scored runs led by Dylan Cox with three runs.

West Carroll 8, Clarksburg 1
Clarksburg opened the second game scoring first in the top of the first inning and held the lead until the War Eagles scored three in the bottom of the second taking the lead for good. They scored five more runs in the bottom of the third to finish their scoring while neither team scored in the fourth or fifth innings.
The War Eagles scored their 8 runs on four hits while 9 reached base on walks. Wyatt Baker had two hits in the contest while Tyson Keymon and Jaxson Hames had a hit each. Keymon, Baker, and Zack Heckert scored two runs each while Devin Nash and Dallas Montgomery added a run each.
Zack Heckert earned the win on the mound giving up a run on one hit while striking out eight batters and walking seven.
