Liberty Dyal, a freshman at McKenzie High School, is a delegate to the Congress of Future Medical Leaders scheduled June 21-23 on the University of Massachusetts Lowell campus, just outside Boston. The Congress is an honors-only program for high school students who want to become physicians or go into medical research fields. The purpose of this event is to honor, inspire, motivate and direct the top students in the country interested in these careers, to stay true to their dream and, after the event, to provide a path, plan and resources to help them reach their goal. more

Ella Jessica Reynolds, a member of the Boy Scout Troop 5252 and a resident of Clarksville, Tennessee, has earned the honor of Eagle Scout. She is the granddaughter of McKenzie residents Brigadier General (Ret) and Mrs. Charles Argo and the daughter of Jesse and Susan (Argo) Reynolds. Ella is the second female in Troop 5252 to accomplish the honor. A Court of Honor ceremony was held on Saturday, February 25, 2023, celebrating her Eagle Scout rank. Eagle Scout is the highest rank offered by the Boy Scouts and only 3 to 4 percent of Boy Scout members attain this prestigious honor. more
OKINAWA — McKenzie native Justin Logan, MSC, US Navy is now captain of the Third Medical Battalion serving U.S. Marines and the U.S. Navy. He assumed command on January 31 in a Change of Command Ceremony. more
