Dr. Justin Barden is in his first year of service as the director of schools in McKenzie. One day last year, he temporarily accepted another assignment: substitute bus driver. With the assistance of his volunteer navigator, Amanda Cowan, they safely transported students from McKenzie Special School District.

The late actress, Dixie Carter-Holbrook, holds an architectural rendering of the then proposed Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center. Behind her are the buildings that once stood where the beautiful performing arts center now stands in downtown Huntingdon. It opened in 2005.
