McKenzie Elementary School’s Fall Festival King and Queen will be crowned during the event on Saturday, October 29, 2022. The festival runs 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at McKenzie Elementary School, 165 Brooks Avenue, McKenzie, and also includes a costume contest, games and other fun activities. Nominations from each class in grades Pre-K through fourth have been announced.

McKENZIE (October 4) — On Tuesday evening, the City of McKenzie held a special called meeting where Ryan White’s interim tag was removed making him the chief of police. White, a 21-year veteran of the McKenzie Police Department, has served as the interim chief of police since September 17 following the sudden retirement of Craig Moates.

McKENZIE — McKenzie Senior Citizens Center has ramped up its activities for persons, aged 55 and up. The center, located at 172 Main Street, South, began the month of October with a dance with music by Larry Morgan, and will end the month with a Halloween potluck lunch on October 27.
