Drug/Narcotic Violation — Rachel Lopez, 29, of McKenzie, was arrested on January 4. Sgt. Scott stopped a vehicle for a light law violation. While speaking to the driver, he could smell the odor of marijuana from the vehicle. A search was performed and two grinders, two pipes, a tray, rolling papers, and 3 grams of marijuana was located inside the passenger’s purse which was Rachel Lopez. more

HUNTINGDON (January 2) — The Grand Jury of the Carroll County Circuit Court were busy on the first business day of the new year. Among the indictments were 46 who were charged by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation in Operation Broken Windows that involved the law enforcement departments of Huntingdon, McKenzie, Sheriff’s Department and the Drug Task Force. HUNTINGDON (January 4, 2024) — A year-long undercover joint operation targeting illicit drug sales throughout Carroll County has resulted in dozens of indictments and arrests. Today, during an extensive roundup involving numerous local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, various drugs and vehicles were seized. more
DUI — Douglas Eugene Marshall, 55, of Huntingdon, was arrested for DUI on January 1. Deputy Daniel Thomas observed a blue Jeep that he suspected had a driver impaired behind the wheel. The driver, Douglas Marshall, smelled of alcohol and refused to do any field sobriety tests. He was then placed under arrest for DUI. more
