Traffic Violations — Shortly after midnight on Thursday, Officer Darren Davis initiated a stop on a vehicle for not having a working tag light and one of the brake lights not functioning. The driver, identified as Gary Jordan, Jr, 48, of Jackson, was found to be driving on a suspended license. Jordan was cited for the non-working registration light and Driving on Suspended License-First Offense. more
License Violation — Tamaralyn Deshawna Cunningham, 50, of Huntingdon was cited for driving on a suspended license (first offense) and speeding during a Dec. 5 traffic stop in Huntingdon. more

Simple Possession/Casual Exchange — While on patrol early Saturday morning, December 4, Officer Darren Davis observed a silver SUV at City Park and made contact with the driver and a passenger, Sean Beasley, 21, of McKenzie. After explaining the reason for making contact, Davis did a status check on both persons and searched the vehicle with permission. more
Domestic Assault — Jerry Lynn Coleman, 64, of 250 Hurt Street, Trezevant, was charged with domestic assault following a Nov. 26 incident at his residence. more
Shoplifting — Tracy L. Longmire, 50, of Yuma was charged with theft under $10,000 and burglary other than habitation on November 24 at Walmart in Huntingdon. more

Multiple Charges — According to a report filed by Sgt. Kyle Beauchamp, he made a traffic stop on a vehicle Thursday, November 18, due to potential violation of a protection order. The driver was known to be Ben Goodwin, 33, of McKenzie, who has a Temporary Order of Protection against him and had the “protected person” with him. Goodwin was initially arrested for Violation of Protection Order and was additionally charged with Driving On Revoked License-Second Offense. He was transported to Carroll County Jail while his vehicle was impounded by McKenzie Police. more
