Drug Possession — On August 7, 2022, Mr. Charles Anthony Tillman, 34, of Huntingdon was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for a light law violation. During a consent search of the vehicle and the passengers, Mr. Tillman had a syringe in his shorts’ pocket and his girlfriend had a clear plastic container concealed in her bra that contained a bag with 0.8 grams of methamphetamine. Mr. Tilman stated that the container found on his girlfriend belonged to him. He was cited into Carroll County Sessions Court for simple possession of Schedule II Meth. more
Driving While Cancelled, Suspended, or Revoked — Officer Trenton Ruddy conducted a traffic stop on a black Mazda on Saturday afternoon, August 20 after observing Michael Gilbert, of McKenzie, driving the vehicle. Ruddy had prior knowledge that Gilbert, 39, had a currently suspended license. Dispatch informed Ruddy that Gilbert had four prior convictions for Driving on Suspended/Revoked License. He arrested and charged Gilbert with Driving on Suspended License 5th offense. more

Multiple Charges — Officer Darren Davis initiated a traffic stop on Sunday evening, August 14 on West Magnolia Avenue on a speeding vehicle. Mark Grinnell, of Knoxville, was found to be the driver.  Davis checked Grinnell’s license status and found it to be suspended along with his vehicle being unregistered. more

Aggravated Assault/Domestic Assault — Officer Trenton Ruddy received a dispatch regarding a 911 call from a David Street residence early Sunday morning, August 7 where a man walked in and found another man in his house. According to Ruddy’s report, he and Sgt. Trey Boucher spoke with Kenneth Schultz, who informed the officers that he walked into the bedroom to speak with his wife, Rhonda Schultz, when he noticed the man. Schultz stated he yelled at the man to leave when he got up and pushed him. Mrs. Schultz pointed a black handgun at Mr. Schultz and told him to leave the room. He left his residence and called 911. more

Multiple Traffic Charges — McKenzie Police were contacted by a convenience store shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday, July 30, regarding a white vehicle parked near the side of the store for approximately an hour with headlights on. The caller requested an officer to come check the vehicle. more
