HUNTINGDON (February 7) — The Board of Directors of the Carroll County Emergency Communications District (911 Board) voted to sell its former dispatch center to an undisclosed cash buyer.
The 4,600 square-foot vacant building, located 126 West Paris Avenue, Huntingdon, will sell for $60,000.
Bud Ricketts, real estate broker, said he showed potential buyers the building seven to eight times. Originally built as the county’s Health Department, the building contains asbestos. He assured board members the buyer will “benefit the community.”
