HUNTINGDON (March 1) — Brandi Beamon is the new administrator at Harmony Hill assisted living in Huntingdon.
Mrs. Beamon is a licensed long-term care administrator and has previously worked as a director of Social Services at another at a skilled nursing home facility.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. She previously held a life and health and property and casualty insurance license for nine years while working in the insurance industry.
In 2004, life took an unexpected turn when her two-year-old daughter, Madelyn was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma, a solid tumor cancer of the sympathetic nervous system. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital cared for Madelyn for four years.
“This is where I fell in love with social services and fostering relationships on another level. I was that person sitting across the desk needing resources and direction on the best way to care for my loved one. I knew then that I desired my next career steps to be about making a difference in someone else’s life when they needed resources or help in making a decision for their loved one, and I have definitely found my passion in working with the elderly.”
Vicky Norton, the facility’s regional operations director, said, “She will certainly be an asset to our assisted living community and town in which she longs to serve for many years to come. We are pleased to have someone of Brandi’s caliber at Harmony Hill. She has the compassion and enthusiasm for long-term care that will foster greater happiness for our elderly population.”
Brandi and husband, Neal, and daughter, Ella, reside in Huntingdon. Their son, Tyler and daughter-in-law, Ashley Giffen and seven-month-old grandson, Aidan, reside in Cordova.
Harmony Hill is located at 100 Jerry Atkins Lane, Huntingdon.
