Bethel, Eastside FCE February Meeting

Posted

The Bethel/Eastside FCE met in the lovely home of Pennye and Mary Mays for their February meeting. The president, Gail Eubanks called the meeting to order. The thought for the day was, “Start each day with a positive thought and a grateful heart.” The devotion was given by Mary Mays using The Fullness in Christ, quoting from Colossians 2:10 as her Bible verse. Roll call was answered with An Act of Kindness. Everyone said what act of kindness they did most recently. The club Collect was read in unison. The treasury report was given and dues were taken up.

Old business: A thank-you card was received from Carl Perkins for our donation to their food pantry. Continue collecting medicine bottles and can tabs.

New business: New Year Books were passed out. We went through and picked a month to be hostess. It was voted that the hostess of the month was responsible for the devotion and the educational program for that month. She didn’t have to present it herself but make sure it was presented by someone.

The educational program was given by Pennye Mays on the power of attorney and the different types. When does it end? Does everyone need one? A durable power of attorney, is it different from medical power of attorney? All very interesting.

The March hostess is Thelma Rougeou, our newest member. The meeting was adjourned.
